This month, the IFA NSW Icons of the Industry & Apprentice Awards dinner brought together industry professionals for a memorable evening at the stunning Aqua Luna. Glenn Ryder from Ryder Shop and Office Fitting emerged as the newest Industry Icon, recognised for his outstanding contributions.

The event also acknowledged the achievements of apprentices from first, second and third years at TAFE. The winners for each year were Riley Cameron (1st year), Ethan Weston (2nd year), and Ryan Goodall (3rd year).

Our own Michael Rowe even reconnected with his very first TAFE teacher, Richard Bailey, showcasing the enduring sense of community and camaraderie in the field.

The night also featured a thought-provoking talk by guest speaker Aaron Huey, known as ‘Coach to the Tradies’ and a mental health expert, emphasising the significance of well-being in the industry.

Congratulations to all the award recipients for their contributions, making the IFA NSW Icons of the Industry & Apprentice Awards night a memorable occasion once again!
