RadioLAB shines new light on rendering

A small group of super-savvy designers were awe-struck in the Minosa studio last month, when designer Darren Genner shared his impressive knowledge of RadioLAB in a special introductory training session for PYTHA users. The Minosa team are renowned for their outstanding rendered productions, and as winners of the International RadioLAB competition over a decade ago, they sure know their way around the PYTHA suite of software and the module that ‘ups the ante’ on professional presentations. What is RadioLAB? The PYTHA RadioLAB module allows the user to add an extraordinary level of detail to any presentation. RadioLAB’s most popular features include (but aren’t limited to): Lighting Direct, indirect and adaptive light and shadow calculations, along with real time mirrors and transparency, allow an incredible level of depth to be added to architectural and interior design renderings, retail display and product presentations. A variety of light-source options adds a whole new level of realism, too, with daylight modelling (season, time, position, cloud intensity), spot lighting, surface and volume lighting ensuring an accurate model is presented. The properties of the light can be manipulated as well, with the user able to control colour (interactive, real time), light intensity (lumen), radiation direction and more. A dimming effect even allows interactive control, ensuring that your clients fully understand the range of ‘moods’ your lighting design will accommodate. Textures and Materials Drag and drop features allow fast and intuitive rendering, with textures easily zoomed, stretched, moved and rotated to fit their substrate. Billboards, artworks, murals and mirrors can be applied, and glass shading and water shading add even further detail to the photo-realistic images....

Important changes to PYTHA support

For some time, Pytha Partners and D&P Specialists have enjoyed a great partnership in servicing and supporting PYTHA and 3D Analyzer software customers.  D&P’s technical support has been invaluable to PYTHA users, and an enormous help to us as we’ve focussed on building services for Australian and New Zealand customers. 2017, however, will see some exciting changes for both parties, and some simplification of your dealings with Pytha Partners Australia. D&P Specialists have announced that they’re eager to focus on their highly regarded setout services and project management.  While they’ve enjoyed offering technical support to PYTHA, Analyzer and Ezynest/Enroute customers (and have been doing a stellar job of it!), they will no longer be able to take on new (or renewing) support contracts. Pytha Partners, on the other hand, have recruited some eager, experienced and super tech-savvy staff members, and we’re building an in-house team that will allow you a seamless transition to Pytha-powered support.  We are extremely appreciative of D&P’s service over the last two years, and are now looking forward to offering customers a ‘one stop shop’ for software support. So, what happens now? If you have an existing contract in place with D&P Specialists, we’ll make sure your transition is as seamless as possible.  If you need support of any kind, contact Pytha Partners directly on support@pythapartners.com.au, and we’ll get you on the most pain-free path to a timely solution. If you’re a new customer, or about to renew your support contract, we’ll take it from here.  You’ll be hearing from us soon, so you don’t need to do anything at this point in time. We...

PYTHA-Viewer is here!

Users of PYTHA software have always valued the program’s ability to let clients see how a project will look before a board is cut or hammer is swung.  The comprehensive plans and 3D presentations produced in PYTHA also help to take all the guess work out of quoting, ensuring all relevant trades are able to give their most accurate estimates. With PYTHA’s new FREE PYTHA-Viewer, it’s now even easier to share your design concepts with clients and estimators, and present a new level of detail and interpretation.  PYTHA-Viewer allows the user to see all the necessary features and elements – with the ability to turn layers on or off, highlight particular objects, measure the distance between objects and even the radius of a curve, there will be little left for guessing and fewer surprises (and setbacks) down the track. PYTHA-viewer can be loaded on any PC (Microsoft Windows 7 and higher), and will be another great tool for your belt.   Download the 32 bit version PYTHA‑Viewer 1.01 Download the 64 bit version PYTHA‑Viewer 1.01 For more information, contact Pytha Partners...

Four good reasons to have a PYTHA Technical Service Agreement

Experienced PYTHA users aren’t always convinced that maintaining a PYTHA Technical Service Agreement (TSA) is necessary.  They feel they’ve successfully installed the software and are up and running, so they don’t need help in that department. They’re pretty confident they know the software inside out, too, and say advice regarding tips and tools isn’t required. But for the team at Pytha Partners, a PYTHA Technical Service Agreement is part of a ‘big picture’ strategy that will ensure PYTHA users continue to get the most out of their design and manufacturing software – today and in the future.  We’ve listed our top four reasons for continuing your Technical Service Agreement, and encourage you to consider how these value-adds will benefit you and your bottom line: Souped up support – today, tomorrow and when you need it the most You may not have used our support services yet, and you may not need them tomorrow. But when you upgrade your gear and need to reformat your software, or have an internal glitch that is holding you up (and costing you money!), you’ll want to know that the Pytha support team is skilled, capable and ready to take your call.  Your investment in a Pytha TSA secure the best people, and keep our service and support onshore and ready for you when you’ll need us the most! Identifying bugs – AND FIXING THEM! Pytha Partners Australia is your direct line to the developers of this software; if something about the system is ‘bugging’ you, our support team will take your troubles straight to the top!  For many PYTYHA users, the willingness of...
