Shopfitting and cabinet making apprentices across the country are increasingly keen to add CAD to their toolbelt. With in-depth knowledge of CNC technology an integral part of these trades, learning about ‘the front end’ of the CAD-CAM process is a great advantage.
The growing popularity of TAFE PYTHA courses is evidence of this; the courses are delivered by skilled shopfitting and detailed joinery teachers, and are tailored to suit both beginner (Part 1) and intermediate (Part 2) users.
Course participants have indicated that adding PYTHA skills to their portfolio is a real value-add, with new employers looking for staff with a wide range of software capabilities.
Employers are taking advantage of the courses, too, upskilling their staff and ensuring they know how to get the most of their 3D CAD software, and improve their time efficiency (and the company’s bottom line!).
